My name is Shawnee and I’m a content marketer, creative director, and writer currently residing in Dallas. I have an AAS in Fashion Marketing from El Centro College, an Associate’s of Arts from Brookhaven College and I'm currently a senior finishing my undergrad at the University of North Texas at Dallas. I will be graduating Summer 2019 with a BAAS with concentrations in Hospitality Management and Communication & Technology.
I’m the founder of Moxie Brides Magazine, a digital publication showcasing inspiration for offbeat, alternative brides and the founder of The 1099, an upcoming collective that will be launching in October 2019 to empower and educate members of the gig economy in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond by providing access to resources, workshops, work opportunities and more. I’ve also held numerous leadership positions such as being on Method Seven Magazine’s editorial board as their Beauty Director, serving on the Student Event Planners Association’s National Board of Directors, Marketing Co-Chair for Dallas Startup Week, and interned with LAUNCH. as their Marketing Manager.
I am currently seeking opportunities in the areas of social media, email marketing, copywriting with beauty, retail and hospitality brands. I am also very open for opportunities in event planning, public relations and creative direction for editorial photo shoots.
